There shall be a Department of Health, the head of which shall be the Business Administrator. Within the Department of Health there shall be a Division of Health.
A. 
The Burlington County Health Officer shall be the health officer of the Township of Delran, as provided by law.
B. 
There shall be a local Division of Health Coordinator, who shall provide for the coordination of health matters in the Township with the County Health Officer. The local coordinator shall plan and administer a comprehensive public health program, including environmental sanitation, communicable disease control, child and adult health, health education, laboratory services and such other services as may be authorized by Charter or ordinance, and further shall administer and enforce the local health ordinances.
C. 
There shall be appointed annually by the Township Council, for a one-year term, a Registrar of Vital Statistics pursuant to N.J.S.A. 26:8-11.

All welfare and public assistance functions and administrative responsibility shall be handled by the County of Burlington pursuant to an agreement between the Township and the county. All functions, powers and duties of the Local Public Assistance Board are hereby transferred to the County of Burlington.
