No person or persons or corporation shall give any show or exhibition or conduct any place of amusement of any kind for profit or gain within the Town of Dover without first obtaining a license therefor from the Mayor and Board of Aldermen as herein provided.
The Mayor and Board of Aldermen may in their discretion grant licenses to such persons or corporations as shall apply therefor for the giving of shows or exhibitions or keeping and maintaining places of amusement within the Town of Dover. The license fees to be paid therefor for the use of the town shall be as follows: For every show or exhibition given for profit or gain, other than such as may be given in a regular licensed theater, and excepting such as are enumerated in Section 9 of the Act to incorporate Dover, which was approved April 1, 1969, there shall be paid a license fee of $50 per year.
