The office of Municipal Public Defender is hereby established.
The Judge of the Municipal Court of the Borough of Gibbsboro is authorized
to make determinations as to which defendants are indigent and, after determination
has been made, to appoint the Municipal Public Defender to represent such
indigents.
A.
The Municipal Court Clerk shall charge a fee of $75 per
application for the Public Defender. This fee may be waived by the Municipal
Court Judge upon a determination that the applicant is indigent and unable
to pay the application fee.[1]
B.
The application fee shall be used to defray the cost
of hiring a Public Defender and in the administrative costs of the Municipal
Court of the Borough of Gibbsboro.
