GENERAL REFERENCES
Payment of claims, bills and salaries — See Ch. 9.
The Borough is hereby authorized to enter into contract with the County of Bergen, from time to time, and whenever the Council shall by resolution determine it to be in the best interests of the Borough to do so, to provide for either or both of the following:
A. 
The furnishing by the county to the Borough of any service or facility which the Borough might otherwise lawfully furnish or provide to its inhabitants, pursuant to the provisions of N.J.S.A. 40:23-6.26 to 40:23-6.29, inclusive.
B. 
The purchasing by the county of materials and supplies for use by the Borough, pursuant to the provisions of N.J.S.A. 40A:11-10 and 40A:11-11.
The resolution or resolutions adopted by the Council pursuant to the provisions of § 13-1 of this chapter shall, by reference or otherwise, prescribe the terms of the contract to be entered into with the County of Bergen and shall designate the person or persons authorized to execute such contract on behalf of the Borough.
A. 
The Purchasing Agent shall have the authority to join with other units of government in cooperative purchase plans as stated in the Revised Statutes of New Jersey when the best interests of the Borough could be served thereby.
B. 
Joint agreements for purchase of work materials and supplied. Pursuant to the provisions of N.J.S.A. 40A:11-10, the governing body of the Borough of Hillsdale is hereby authorized to enter into cooperative purchasing agreements with any other contracting unit in the County of Bergen or adjoining counties for purchase of work, materials and supplies. One contracting unit may arrange for contracts on behalf of the Borough of Hillsdale and shall be responsible for complying with the provisions of the Local Public Contract Law (N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et seq.) and all other provisions and statutes of the State of New Jersey.
C. 
Interlocal services agreements. Pursuant to the provisions of N.J.S.A. 40:8A-1 et seq., the Borough of Hillsdale is hereby authorized to enter into interlocal service agreements with other contracting agencies.
