§ 5-197 Establishment.

There is hereby established a Parking Advisory Committee, which shall conduct research regarding the parking needs of the Township, study such programs and policies as may be necessary to relieve traffic congestion and improve the on-street and off-street parking facilities of the Township and to make recommendations from time to time to the Mayor and Municipal Council with respect thereto.

§ 5-198 Composition.

The Parking Advisory Committee shall consist of seven members who shall serve without pay and shall be appointed by the Municipal Council. The Superintendent of Parking shall be an ex officio member of the Committee. Each Councilman-At-Large shall appoint one member for a term expiring March 31, 1986. Each Ward Councilman shall appoint one member for a term expiring March 31, 1985. Thereafter, each appointment shall be for a two-year term.

§ 5-199 Selection of Chairman, Vice Chairman.

At its annual organizational meeting, the Parking Advisory Committee shall select from its membership a Chairman and Vice Chairman. The Committee shall retain a Secretary who shall receive compensation at the rate of $30 per meeting.

§ 5-199.1 Duties of Secretary.

The Secretary of the Parking Advisory Committee shall maintain the records of the Committee, attend to its correspondence and prepare its minutes.
