There is hereby established in the Township of Jefferson an Adopt-A-Park
Program.
A.Â
Any resident, group of residents or organization located
within the Township of Jefferson shall have the right to petition the Township
Council to adopt any one of the parks owned and maintained by the Township
of Jefferson.
B.Â
The individuals and/or organizations that are granted
permission to adopt a park by the Township Council shall have the right to
enter that particular park for the purposes of performing maintenance services
on the same. Prior to performing any such maintenance services, such individuals
or group shall provide a schedule of when the maintenance services are to
be performed to the Director of Public Works and the Department of Recreation,
Senior and Veteran Services. No group shall construct any improvements on
any park property without the permission of the Director of Public Works.

Upon granting permission to any individual or organizations
to adopt a park, the Township shall cause a sign to be erected at the park
indicating that the park is part of the Adopt-A-Park Program and the individual
and/or organization which has adopted the park.
