Open Space Trust Fund — See Ch. 54, Art. I.
There is hereby established within the Township of Jefferson an Open Space Advisory Committee.
The purposes of the Committee shall be as follows:
A. 
To recommend to the Mayor and Council and to identify properties or areas within the Township of Jefferson which would be suitable to be established and used as permanent open space.
B. 
To recommend to the Mayor and Council and to identify sources of funding for the purchase, condemnation, acquisition and maintenance of open space within the Township of Jefferson.
C. 
To recommend to the Mayor and Council in what manner any open space within the Township shall be utilized.

The Open Space Advisory Committee in the Township of Jefferson shall consist of 11 members, consisting of one Council representative, who shall also be a voting member, one liaison member from the Township Administration, who shall be a nonvoting member, one liaison member from the Environmental Commission of the Township, who shall be a nonvoting member, and eight citizens of the Township. The citizen members shall be appointed by the Township Council. The Council representative, the liaison member from the Township Administration and the member from the Environmental Commission shall serve for a period of one year with the Council member being appointed by the Council, the liaison member of the Township Administration by the Mayor and the member from the Environmental Commission appointed by the Environmental Commission. The initial appointment of the citizen members shall be three citizen members for one year, whose terms shall expire December 31, 2003, three citizen members for two years, whose terms shall expire December 31, 2004, and two citizen members for three years, whose terms shall expire December 31, 2005. Thereafter, the terms of the citizen members shall be for three years each.
