[Adopted 1-16-1952]
An office to be known as "Trash and Garbage
Collector of the Borough of Longport" is hereby created.
It shall be the duty of the Trash and Garbage
Collector to collect all trash and garbage that shall be required
to be collected and to dispose of the same outside the boundaries
of the Borough of Longport, on such days and at such hours as shall
be directed by the Director of the Department of Public Affairs and
Public Safety, and to comply with the rules and regulations that shall
be promulgated by said Director of the Department of Public Affairs
and Public Safety.
The term of office of said Trash and Garbage
Collector shall be one year from January 1 of the year for which he
shall be appointed.

The salary of said Trash and Garbage Collector
shall be established from time to time by the Board of Commissioners.
