There is hereby created in and for the Borough of Hasbrouck Heights a Recreation Department, the authority of which is to effectuate and supervise authorized municipal recreation programs with the advice and consent of the Recreation Program Advisory Committee pursuant to Chapter 63 of this Code.
The Recreation Department shall be composed
of a Recreation Director and such assistants as may hereafter be found
to be necessary and appointed by the governing body. The Recreation
Director shall be responsible for the operation of the Recreation
Department and shall perform the duties of that office under the direction
and supervision of the Borough Administrator.
The Recreation Director and any assistants hereafter
appointed shall be appointed by the Mayor with the concurrence of
the Borough Council and shall serve for a term ending on December
31 of any year following such appointment and confirmation. Such Recreation
Director and any assistants shall have experience in the field of
recreation and have a familiarity with the recreation programs of
this Borough. Such Director and any assistants shall be compensated
as may be hereafter provided in the Salary Ordinance of the Borough
of Hasbrouck Heights.
