No air-conditioning or refrigerating unit employing water in its operation shall discharge such water into the sanitary sewerage system.[1]

No person, firm or corporation shall hereafter install any water-cooled air-conditioning or refrigerating unit until after first applying for and obtaining, after written application, a permit from the Superintendent of Public Works so to do. The Superintendent of Public Works shall refuse such permit in the event that such unit is without some proper method for the disposal of water other than into the sanitary sewerage system of the Borough. A fee as set forth in Chapter 133, Fees, shall be charged and paid for such permit.
