The Town Manager shall appoint a Building Inspector
who shall carry out all duties prescribed by law.
A.
The Building Inspector shall examine all buildings
at the request of the Town Manager to determine if they are uninhabited
and a fire hazard. He shall make his report in writing to the Town
Manager as to the facts and conditions that he finds.

No person shall maintain on his premises any building
or buildings which are uninhabited or which have been determined by
the Building Inspector to be fire hazard and detrimental to the public
health, safety and good.
If after the report of the Building Inspector
it is determined that any conditions exist in accordance with the
spirit of this bylaw which would constitute a threat and danger to
the public health, safety and good, the Building Inspector shall cause
a notice to be posted on the premises and a notice to be sent to the
address of the owner of the said premises, as appearing on the books
of the Assessors of the Town of Salisbury, requesting that said person
fulfill the requirements as set forth by this bylaw pertaining to
said premises.
If within 48 hours after the posting, mailing
and receipt of said notice no action is taken by the owner, tenant
or occupant of said premises to fulfill the requirements as set forth
by the Building Inspector, the said owner, tenant or occupant shall
forfeit a fine of $50 for each violation thereof.
The enforcement of this bylaw shall be by the
Building Inspector.
