[HISTORY: Adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Cazenovia 1-20-1965 by L.L. No. 1-1965 (Ch. 17 of the 1965 Code). Amendments noted where applicable.]
As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
CLERK
The Clerk of the Board of Trustees and Village of Cazenovia, New York.
MAYOR
The Mayor of the Board of Trustees.
PERSON
Includes any individual, firm, copartnership or corporation or other entity capable of being sued.
VILLAGE
The Village of Cazenovia, New York.
No person shall conduct, operate or maintain any circus, street show, carnival or other public exhibition, other than baseball, softball, basketball, football, hockey or other exhibitions approved by the Mayor, in the Village of Cazenovia, without first obtaining a license or permit therefor, which license or permit shall be granted by the Mayor and countersigned by the Clerk-Treasurer on the payment of a license fee, which shall be as set from time to time by resolution of the Village Board of Trustees, and the said permit or license shall expressly limit the time within which such circus, street show, carnival or exhibition may be operated.

Any violation of this chapter shall be punishable by a maximum fine of $250 or by imprisonment for not more than 15 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
