[Adopted by Ord. No. 1179 (§ 2-11A of the 1987 Code)]
There is hereby created the position of Chief Financial Officer of the Borough of Highland Park. The Chief Financial Officer shall hold a municipal finance officer certificate, or be otherwise qualified as provided by statute. He shall be appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of Council. The Director of Finance, Borough Treasurer or Tax Collector, if qualified by law, may be appointed as and perform the duties of Chief Financial Officer with such additional compensation, if any, as is provided by Resolution of the Borough Council.[1]

The Chief Financial Officer is hereby exempted from any requirement of residency in the Borough.
