A Traffic Committee consisting of such number of members as the Board of Trustees shall determine is hereby established. The Board of Trustees shall appoint the members of said Committee and shall designate one of the members so appointed as the Chairman thereof. Members of the Public Safety Committee of the Board of Trustees, the Chief of Police and the Fire Chief shall serve as ex officio members of the Committee.
The members of the existing Traffic Committee in office at the time this chapter takes effect shall continue in office until the end of the terms for which they were appointed. Their successors shall be appointed for one-year terms at the annual reorganization meeting of the Board of Trustees.
The purpose of the Traffic Committee is to continually study the circulation of traffic within the Village and to advise the Board of Trustees as to its improvement in regard to public convenience and safety.
