This chapter may be known as the "Returned Check Ordinance."
Whenever a check payable to any account of Washington Township
is returned for insufficient funds, a service charge of $20 for each
returned check shall be added to the account.
Unpaid service charges shall become delinquent and, when applicable,
a lien against property, to be enforced in the same manner as other
liens.
Any person whose returned checks become chronic, as determined
by the Chief Financial Officer, may thereafter be required to pay
in cash or by certified or cashier's check.
