The Board of Supervisors of the Township of
Conewago, being the municipal authority of said Township, hereby signifies
its intention and desire to organize an Authority under the provisions
of the Municipality Authorities Act of 1945, as amended.[1]

The Chairman of the Board of Supervisors and
the Township Secretary are hereby authorized and directed to execute
on behalf of the Township of Conewago Articles of Incorporation for
said Authority in the form required by said Act, which said Articles
of Incorporation shall set forth, among other things, that the name
of said Authority shall be Conewago Township Municipal Authority;
that said Authority is formed under the Act of May 2, 1945, P.L. 382,
known as the "Municipality Authorities Act of 1945"[1]; that no other Authority organized under said Act or under the Act of June 28, 1935, P.L. 463, is in existence in and for the Township of Conewago; that the name of the incorporating municipality is the Township of Conewago; and that there shall be five members of the Board of the Authority. The Articles of Incorporation shall also set forth the names and addresses of the Supervisors of the Township, they being the municipal authorities of said Township, and the names, addresses and terms of office of the first members of the Board of the Authority appointed pursuant to § 5-3 hereof.

The proper officers of the Township are hereby
directed as required by the Municipality Authorities Act of 1945,
as amended,[1] to publish notice of the day upon which said Articles
of Incorporation will be filed with the Secretary of the Commonwealth
of Pennsylvania; to file said Articles, together with a certified
copy of this article and the necessary proofs of publication, with
the Secretary of the Commonwealth; and to do all other things necessary
or appropriate to effect the incorporation of Conewago Township Municipal
Authority.

The first projects to be undertaken by said
Authority shall be the acquiring, holding, constructing, improving,
maintaining and operating, owning, leasing, either in the capacity
of lessor or lessee, sewers, sewer systems or parts thereof and sewage
treatment facilities in the Township of Conewago and adjacent service
areas.
