GENERAL REFERENCES
Historical Resource Protection Standards — See Ch. 115, Art. XX, specifically § 115-123, Historical Commission.
There is hereby established a Commission to be named the "East Bradford Township Historical Commission."
The Historical Commission shall:
A. 
Record the history of the Township.
B. 
Take inventory of the historic sites within the Township and recommend that the Township establish, by ordinance, historic districts or sites.
C. 
Secure necessary information to enable the Township to apply for state and/or federal funds at the direction of the Township Supervisors and incur expenses as provided for by the Township Supervisors.
D. 
Have such other duties as may be delegated from time to time by the Township Supervisors.

The Commission shall consist of a minimum of five members and up to seven members appointed by the Board of Supervisors of East Bradford Township. At the inception of the Commission, the members' terms shall be staggered as follows: one member shall serve one year; one member shall serve two years; one member shall serve three years; one member shall serve four years; and one member shall serve five years. Thereafter, the terms shall be for five years. The Supervisors shall fill a vacancy for the duration of an unexpired term.

The Commission members shall elect annually a Chairman, who will preside over the meetings of the Commission, a Vice Chairman, and a Secretary. The Chairman shall not serve for more than two successive annual terms and shall not succeed himself/herself.
Regular public meetings (and at least four per year) shall be held to conduct the business of the Commission. A report of the preceding year's activities shall be presented to the Board of Supervisors prior to March 1 of each year.
