[Adopted 7-12-1971 as Ch. 83, Art. I, of the 1971 Code]
It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation, whether principal or agent, to violate or fail to comply with the following regulations pertaining to traffic in certain uses of the highways of the Township of Marple, Delaware County, Pennsylvania, or to be a party thereto under the penalties hereinafter provided. No trucks or other vehicles with a load capacity, as per its manufacturer's rating, of over two tons shall use, except for the purpose of making local deliveries, any of the following named highways:
A.

A. 
It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation, whether principal or agent, to operate any motor vehicle at a rate of speed in excess of 25 miles per hour over, across, upon or along all Township streets of the Township of Marple now in existence or acquired in the future.
B. 
The Board of Commissioners hereby authorizes the Marple Township Police Department to utilize Excessive Speed Preventer (ESP) equipment, an electrical mechanical speed-timing device, to enforce speed limits in the Township and to utilize the same in providing evidence in the prosecution of violators.

It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation, whether principal or agent, to park:
(1) 
On the east side of Alameda Road, Bonsall Avenue, Davis Avenue, Evergreen Avenue, Ferguson Avenue, Fifth Avenue, First Avenue, Fourth Avenue, Hawthorne Road, James Road, Lindbergh Avenue, Manor Road, Mather Avenue, Morton Avenue, Oakland Road (except for a distance of approximately 130 feet in a southerly direction from the intersection of West Chester Pike and Oakland Road), Raymond Road, Rittenhouse Road, Rolling Road, School House Lane, Second Avenue, Third Avenue, Woodlawn Avenue.

B. 
It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation, whether principal or agent, to park within 15 feet of any private driveway, property entrance or exit or fire access road within the Lawrence Park Industrial Park.

It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation, whether principal or agent, to park any motor vehicle at any time, except for the purpose of making a local delivery, along either side of Cedar Grove Road, Crum Creek Road, Langford Road, Malin Road, Paxon Hollow Road from Palmers Mill Road to State Road, Spring Avenue and Reed Road.
A. 
It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation, whether principal or agent, to park:
(1) 
On the right-hand side of any of the following streets: Ann Road, Franklin Gettz Drive, Brierwood Road, Hillview Road and Sylvan Drive, the said right-hand side of said streets to be determined by considering the said streets to have the following points of entry and the following points of exit:
(a) 
Ann Road, with entry at West Chester Pike and exit at James Road.
(b) 
Franklin Gettz Drive, with entry at West Chester Pike, east, and exit at West Chester Pike, west.
(c) 
Brierwood Road, with entry at Harmil Road and exit at Netherington Drive.
(d) 
Hillview Road, with entry at Brierwood Road and exit at Sylvan Drive.
(e) 
Sylvan Drive, with entry at Brierwood Road and exit at Harmil Road.
(2) 
On the right-hand side of Candlewood Road, between the intersections of Oriole Road and Parkview Drive, the said right-hand side of Candlewood Road to be determined by considering said road with entrance at Sproul Road and exit at Parkview Drive.
(3) 
On the south side of West Chester Pike from Davis Avenue to Alameda Road, with the exception that ten-minute parking shall be allowed in front of the Broomall Post Office.

Parking limited.
(1) 
Parking on the west side of David Avenue from West Chester Pike to Franklin Avenue shall be restricted to two hours between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

C. 
Handicapped parking. it shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation, whether principal or agent, to park:

(1) 
In areas designated as exclusively reserved for parking by handicapped individuals by a sign of international logo, where such vehicle does not contain or is not operated by a handicapped individual or operated on behalf of a handicapped individual.
(2) 
In front of or upon ramps provided for handicapped individuals.
A. 
Summit Avenue shall be and is hereby designated as a one-way street with its entrance at the north side of West Chester Pike and its exit at Sproul Road, and it shall be unlawful for any person, persons, firm or corporation, whether principal or agent, to operate any motor vehicle upon said street except in the direction indicated.
B. 
Garden Road shall be and is hereby designated as a one-way street with its entrance at its easterly terminus on West Chester Pike and its exit at its westerly terminus at West Chester Pike, and it shall be unlawful for any person, persons, firm or corporation, whether principal or agent, to operate any motor vehicle upon said street except in the direction indicated.
C. 
Strathaven Drive shall be and is hereby designated as a one-way street from Georgian Lane to West Chester Pike South, and it shall be unlawful for any person, persons, firm or corporation, whether principal or agent, to operate any motor vehicle upon said street except in the direction indicated.
D. 
Evergreen Avenue shall be and is hereby designated as a one-way street, going in a north to south direction, between the hours of 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Gradyville Road shall be and is hereby designated as a one-way street, going in an east to west direction, from Old Cedar Grove Road to Media Line Road from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

A. 
Any person or persons violating any of the provisions of this article, other than as contained in §§ 285-3, 285-4 and 285-5 hereof, shall be subject to a fine of not more than $25 for each offense, and each daily occurrence of the same offense shall be considered as a new offense and fineable as such. Any person or persons violating the provisions of §§ 285-3, 285-4 and 285-5 of this article shall be subject to a fine of not less than $1 nor more than $25 for each offense, and each daily occurrence of the same offense shall be considered as a new offense and fineable as such. In default of the payment of the fines, the offender shall be imprisoned for a period equal to one day for each $5 or fraction thereof of fine imposed.
B. 
In cases where a notice is first given of any violation of §§ 285-3, 285-4, 285-5, 285-6 and 285-7 of this article by either handing to the offending driver or affixing to the vehicle in question a ticket or notice on which there has been noted the time and place of and nature of the offense or violation charged, no prosecution shall be instituted for 48 hours thereafter; and if during the said period the offender shall voluntarily appear at the office of the Township Secretary, voluntarily enter a plea of guilty and pay a fine of $15 to the Township, no prosecution for said offense shall thereafter be brought.
