As used in this article, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
INDIVIDUALS AND/OR THEIR INSURANCE COMPANIES
Refers to a natural person or persons, partnership, corporation, association, firm or other legal entity as well as insurance companies providing coverage to these individuals and/or entities.
The Borough Council of the Borough of Pleasant Hills, Allegheny Count, Pennsylvania, authorizes the Pleasant Hills Volunteer Fire Company and Relief Association, Inc., to submit bills to recover the cost of fire fighting, materials used and the actual costs associated with vehicle and equipment use. For purposes of this article, bills may be submitted in the following situations:
A. 
Responding to fire calls;
B. 
Extricating individuals;
C. 
Where materials are actually used or expended in responding to emergency and/or hazardous situations.

From and after the date of enactment of this section, the fees and costs set forth in the fee schedule attached hereto as Exhibit A[1] and incorporated herein by reference shall be charged to individuals and/or their insurance carriers for reimbursement of expenses incurred in responding to fires and/or emergency/hazardous situations. These fees and costs shall also be included in the schedule of charges contained within the Fee Resolution of the Borough of Pleasant Hills, and may be amended in the future by and through an amendment to said Fee Resolution.

The costs and fees outlined above in Exhibit A shall be billed directly by the Pleasant Hills Volunteer Fire Company and Relief Association, Inc., either by direct billing or through an arrangement that Pleasant Hills Volunteer Fire Company and Relief Association, Inc., may enter into with a third-party administrator.
