§ 340-1 Trapping prohibited.

From and after the effective date of this chapter, it shall be illegal for any person to set or fix a metal trap or snare within the Borough of Pleasant Hills.

§ 340-2 Permitting trapping prohibited.

From and after the effective date of this chapter, it shall be illegal for any person or persons to knowingly permit or allow any other person to set or fix any metal trap or snare within the Borough of Pleasant Hills.

§ 340-3 Definitions.

As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:

METAL TRAP or SNARE

Any metallic device or appliance whose purpose is the entrapment or ensnarement of any wild or domestic animal.

§ 340-4 Violations and penalties.

Any person violating the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction before any of the District Justices of the Borough of Pleasant Hills, be subject to a fine not exceeding $100 and, in default thereof be imprisoned in the Allegheny County Jail or Allegheny County Workhouse for a period of not more than 10 days.
