Every owner or owners or guardian of any infant owner of any lot or lots bounded by any of the streets or lanes or alleys of the Town of Denton shall fill up or dig down to the proper grade and pave, repave or repair the sidewalks along such lot or lots with properly prepared cement paving material, according to the accepted standards and acceptable to said Town Council of Denton. Said paving material shall be laid not less than five feet in width and three inches in depth, on a bed of coarser material not less than five inches in thickness, in such a manner as said Town Council of Denton shall direct, within 60 days after notice in writing calling attention to this article and requesting said owner or owners as aforesaid to grade, pave, repave or repair said sidewalks.

Any person or persons specified in § 107-1, as above, who shall refuse or neglect to comply with the provisions of this article within 60 days after the service of notice provided for in said § 107-1 shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall be fined an amount not exceeding $250 and the costs of repair.
If the provisions of this article are not complied with after notice, then the Town Council of Denton may have the work done and charge the cost of the same to the owner or owners of the abutting property and collect the amount thereof as other taxes in the Town are collected.
