As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
BUILDING PERMIT
A permit issued pursuant to § 54-5 of this chapter. The term "building permit" shall also include a building permit which is renewed, amended or extended pursuant to any provision of this chapter.
CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY/CERTIFICATE OF COMPLIANCE
A certificate issued pursuant to § 54-9 of this chapter.
CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER
The Code Enforcement Officer appointed pursuant to § 54-4 of this chapter.
CODE ENFORCEMENT PERSONNEL
The Code Enforcement Officer and all inspectors.
COMPLIANCE ORDER
An order issued by the Code Enforcement Officer pursuant to § 54-19 of this chapter.
COST
The reasonable value of all labor and material without regard to whether such a sum was actually paid or expended.
ENERGY CODE
The State Energy Conservation Construction Code, as currently in effect and as hereafter amended from time to time.
INSPECTOR
An inspector appointed pursuant to § 54-4D of this chapter.
OPERATING PERMIT
A permit issued pursuant to § 54-12 of this chapter. The term "operating permit" shall also include an operating permit which is renewed, amended or extended pursuant to any provision of this chapter.
OWNERS
The ownership of real property as determined by the current assessment roll for the Town of Tonawanda.
PERMIT HOLDER
The person to whom a building permit has been issued.
PERSON
An individual, corporation, limited liability company, partnership, limited partnership, business trust, estate, trust, association, or any other legal or commercial entity of any kind or description.
STOP-WORK ORDER
An order issued pursuant to § 54-8 of this chapter.
TEMPORARY CERTIFICATE
A certificate issued pursuant to § 54-9D of this chapter.
TEMPORARY SHELTER
An assembly of materials forming a shelter intended to protect people, products, material, equipment and inventory from the elements for a determined period of time.
TEMPORARY STRUCTURE
An assembly of structural materials, forming a building or enclosure, intended for occupancy or use for a determined period of time.
TOWN
The Town of Tonawanda.
UNIFORM CODE
The New York State Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Code, as currently in effect and as hereafter amended from time to time.
