Traffic control signals shall be installed, maintained and operated at the intersections and locations described in Schedule I of the Town of Tonawanda Traffic Regulations, on file in the Town of Tonawanda Police Department and in the Town Clerk's office.
The streets or parts of streets described in Schedule II of the Town of Tonawanda Traffic Regulations, on file in the Town of Tonawanda Police Department and in the Town Clerk's office, are hereby designated as one-way streets during the periods indicated, and vehicles shall proceed along those streets or parts of streets only in the direction indicated during the periods indicated.

A. 
Prohibited turns at intersections. No persons shall make a turn of the kind designated (left, right, all) at any of the locations described in Schedule III of the Town of Tonawanda Traffic Regulations, on file in the Town of Tonawanda Police Department and the Town Clerk's office.
B. 
Lane designation. No vehicle shall proceed through an intersection when in a lane which has been designated by a sign as a left-turn-only lane or a right-turn-only lane. Said designated lanes shall be set forth in Schedule XIII of the Town of Tonawanda Traffic Regulations, on file in the Town of Tonawanda Police Department and the Town Clerk's office.
The turning of vehicles so as to proceed in the opposite direction (otherwise known as a U-turn) is hereby prohibited on any of the streets or parts of streets described in Schedule IV of the Town of Tonawanda Traffic Regulations, on file in the Town of Tonawanda Police Department and in the Town Clerk's office.
In accordance with the provisions of § 1111, Subdivision (d)2, of the Vehicle and Traffic Law, the turnings of vehicles facing a steady red signal shall be prohibited at intersection locations designated in Schedule V of the Town of Tonawanda Traffic Regulations, on file in the Town of Tonawanda Police Department and in the Town Clerk's office.
The streets or parts of streets described in Schedule VI of the Town of Tonawanda Traffic Regulations, on file in the Town of Tonawanda Police Department and in the Town Clerk's office, are hereby designated as through highways, and stop or yield signs shall be erected on entrances thereto as indicated in said regulations.
The intersections described in Schedule VII of the Town of Tonawanda Traffic Regulations, on file in the Town of Tonawanda Police Department and in the Town Clerk's office, are hereby designated as stop intersections, and stop signs shall be located as indicated in said regulations.
The intersections described in Schedule VIII of the Town of Tonawanda Traffic Regulations, on file in the Town of Tonawanda Police Department and in the Town Clerk's office, are hereby designated as yield intersections, and yield signs shall be located as indicated in said regulations.

A. 
The maximum speed limit at which vehicles may proceed on or along any Town highways outside of the Village of Kenmore shall be 30 miles per hour, excepting portions of Town highways described in Schedule IX-A of the Town of Tonawanda Traffic Regulations, on file in the Town of Tonawanda Police Department and in the Town Clerk's office, for which the speed limit shall be as indicated in said regulations.
B. 
The maximum speed limit at which vehicles may proceed on or along any county highways within the Town, outside of the Village of Kenmore, shall be 30 miles per hour, excepting portions of county highways described in Schedule IX-B of the Town of Tonawanda Traffic Regulations, on file in the Town of Tonawanda Police Department and in the Town Clerk's office, for which the speed limit shall be as indicated in said regulations.

A. 
A truck route system, upon which commercial motor vehicles having a total combined gross weight, a gross combination weight rating (GCWR), or a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of 10,001 pounds or more are permitted to travel and operate, shall consist of the highways described in Schedule X of the Town of Tonawanda Traffic Regulations, on file in the Town of Tonawanda Police Department and in the Town Clerk's office. The total combined gross weight of vehicle plus load shall be ascertained by computing the entire weight of the truck or vehicle plus load or, in the event that said vehicle is a tractor-trailer combination, then by computing the entire weight of the tractor and trailer plus load. Such exclusion shall not be construed to prevent deliveries or loadings of merchandise or other property or materials along the streets from which trucks are excluded, provided that the vehicle by which any such delivery is made shall enter and leave by the nearest accessible street to the place where said delivery is made and provided that such delivery vehicles shall remain on said prohibited place and thoroughfare for a period of time no longer than necessary and reasonable to make such delivery or to complete a loading of such vehicle; nor to prevent the necessary operation of trucks while in use by the United States postal or military services or by fire, police, sanitation or street maintenance services or by public transportation corporations on franchised routes or by public service corporations or by public service corporations while on emergency repair work.
B. 
All streets forming part of such truck route system shall be marked by conspicuous signs bearing the words "truck route" in letters not less than five inches in height, such signs to be spaced not more than 1,500 feet apart. In addition, conspicuous signs bearing lettering not less than five inches in height, such signs to be adequately illuminated between sunset and sunrise or to be constructed of a reflecting material so as to be easily readable at night when lights from vehicle headlights fall upon such signs, shall be placed on each main highway entering the Town, at or near the point where such highway crosses or meets the boundary line of the Town, indicating that trucks having a weight in excess of five tons, including load, are excluded from all streets within the Town, except those streets designated as part of the authorized truck route system.
C. 
No person, firm or corporation shall drive or operate or cause to be driven or operated any excluded truck into, upon, along or through the streets of the Town in violation of the provisions of this section. Any person, firm or corporation which shall drive or operate or cause to be driven or operated an excluded truck in violation of this section shall be liable to the Town of Tonawanda for any damage arising out of such operation.
