For the purpose set forth in Article 7 of the New York Village Law, the Village of Manlius is hereby divided into the following districts:
Residential District R-1
Residential District R-2
Residential Multiple Use District R-M
Commercial District
Library District
Commercial 1 District
Industrial District
The boundaries of the districts established by § 99-2 above are hereby fixed as shown on the map designated as the "Village of Manlius Zoning Map of 1971." Said map is hereby adopted and made a part of this chapter. The Village of Manlius Zoning Map of 1971 is filed in the office of the Village Clerk. It shall remain in that office, and it may be examined at reasonable times.[1]

Where uncertainty exists with respect to the boundaries of any district, the following rules apply:
A. 
Boundaries indicated as approximately following the center lines of streets or highways shall be construed to follow such center lines.
B. 
Boundaries indicated as approximately following platted lot lines shall be construed to follow such lot lines.
C. 
Boundaries indicated as approximately following Village limits shall be construed to follow such limits.
D. 
Boundaries indicated as approximately parallel to the center lines of streets or highways shall be construed to be parallel to such center lines.
E. 
If no distance is specified on the Zoning Map, distance shall be determined by the scale of the map.[1]

F. 
Boundaries indicated as following shorelines shall be construed to follow such shorelines, and in the event of change in the shoreline, shall be construed as moving with the actual shoreline.
G. 
In other circumstances not covered by Subsections A through F above, the Board of Zoning Appeals shall interpret the district boundaries.
