This article is adopted pursuant to Municipal Home Rule Law
§ 10(1)(ii)(a)(1), which grants to local governments the
authority to enact local laws regarding the qualifications for local
officers.
This article shall supersede Village Law § 3-300 in
its application to the office of Clerk and Treasurer and the office
of Village Codes Enforcement Officer for the Village of Manlius, Onondaga
County.
Any person holding the offices of Clerk, Treasurer or Code Enforcement
Officer in the Village of Manlius, Onondaga County, need not be a
resident nor an elector of the Village of Manlius; provided, however,
such person shall reside in the county in which such Village is located
or an adjoining county within the State of New York.
