Traffic control signals shall be installed and operated at the intersection of those streets described in Schedule I ( 225-33), attached to and made part of this chapter. No person driving a vehicle upon the streets described in Schedule I shall fail to comply with such traffic control signals.

No person shall operate a motor vehicle in the Town of Salina unless such person is restrained by an approved safety belt and unless all front seat passengers under the age of 16 are restrained by an approved safety belt. No person 16 years of age or over shall be a passenger in the front seat of a motor vehicle unless such person is restrained by an approved safety belt.

A. 
The speed limit for both directions of traffic along the streets or parts thereof described in Schedule II (§ 225-34), attached to and made a part of this chapter, is hereby established at the rate of speed indicated. No person shall drive a vehicle at a speed in excess of that indicated in Schedule II on the street or part thereof indicated.
B. 
The penalties for violations of exceeding the speed limits in the Town of Salina, and any surcharges in relation thereto, shall be the same as now or hereafter provided for an equivalent violation of the Vehicle and Traffic Law of the State of New York.

No person shall drive a vehicle at a speed in excess of that indicated in Schedule III (§ 225-35), attached to and made a part of this chapter, in the areas described in said schedule, during school days between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

The streets or parts of streets described in Schedule IV (§ 225-36), attached to and made a part of this chapter are hereby designated as one-way streets in the direction indicated. No person shall drive a vehicle except in the direction indicated upon such streets or parts thereof.
No person shall make a U-turn on any of the streets or parts of streets described in Schedule V (§ 225-37), attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall make a turn of the kind designated (left, right, all) at any of the locations described in Schedule VI (§ 225-38), attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall make a right turn when facing a steady red signal (stop indication) at any of the locations described in Schedule VII (§ 225-39), attached to and made a part of this chapter.

The intersections described in Schedule VIII (§ 225-40), attached to and made a part of this chapter, are hereby designated as yield intersections. Yield signs shall be installed as provided therein. No persons driving a vehicle at a yield intersection shall fail to yield as indicated by such yield sign.

The intersections described in schedule IX (§ 225-41), attached to and made part of chapter, are hereby designated as stop intersections. Stop signs shall be installed as provided therein. No persons driving a vehicle at stop intersections shall fail to stop as indicated by such stop signs.

A. 
When official markings are in place indicating those portions of any highway where overtaking and passing or driving to the left of such markings would be especially hazardous, no driver of a vehicle proceeding along such highway shall at any time drive on the left side of such markings.
B. 
The foregoing limitations shall not apply to the driver of a vehicle turning left while entering or leaving such highway.
C. 
Where a two-way left lane or a paved and clearly traversable dividing section separates the travel lanes for traffic proceeding in opposite directions, the foregoing limitation shall not apply to the driver of a vehicle traveling within such lane or section for such distance as is required for safety in preparing to turn left leaving such highway or in completing a left turn entering such highway.

Crosswalks as defined in the Vehicle and Traffic Law of New York shall be located as provided therein and as set forth in § 225-57, Schedule XXV: Crosswalks.
Trucks in excess of the weights indicated are hereby excluded from the streets or parts of streets described in Schedule X (§ 225-42), attached to and made a part of this chapter, except for the pickup and delivery of materials on such streets.
A. 
A truck route system upon which all trucks, tractors and tractor-trailer combinations having a total gross weight in excess of five tons are permitted to travel and operate shall be as set forth in Schedule XI (§ 225-43), attached to and made a part of this chapter.
B. 
All trucks, tractors and tractor-trailer combinations having a total gross weight in excess of five tons are hereby excluded from all streets, except those streets listed in Schedule XI (§ 225-43), except that this exclusion shall not be construed to prevent the delivery or pickup of merchandise or other property along the street from which such vehicles and combinations are excluded.
