(1) 
The Fire Department shall be composed of a Chief and such other officers and members as may be authorized by the Village Board.
(2) 
The Chief shall be appointed by the Police and Fire Commission. Appointments of such additional officers and members of the Fire Department as may be authorized by the Village Board shall be made in accordance with the provisions of § 62.13, Wis. Stats.
(3) 
Compensation of the Chief and other officers and other members of the Fire Department shall be fixed by the Village Board.
(4) 
The Fire Department shall be in charge of all the fire-fighting and fire prevention activities in the Village.[1]

(5) 
The Fire Department shall render its service to any municipal corporation or governmental subdivision with which a written agreement to render such services has been entered into, and the Village Manager is authorized to negotiate contracts, subject to the approval of the Village Board, to render fire-fighting and fire prevention services in neighboring communities in need of such services.
(6) 
No contract or agreement to render fire protection or fire-fighting services entered into with any municipal corporation or governmental subdivision shall be binding or valid unless in writing and approved by the Village Board.
(7) 
The proceeds from the performance of any contract to provide fire protection or fire-fighting services to any neighboring community shall be kept in a separate account by the Village Clerk-Treasurer and shall be distributed at such time and in such a manner as the Village Board shall direct.
(1) 
Fees to be charged for ambulance conveyances. Every person receiving an ambulance conveyance by the Village ambulance equipment shall pay for such service in accordance with the fee established from time to time by separate resolution of Village Board.[1]

(2) 
Conveyances pursuant to mutual aid agreement. There shall be no charge when ambulance conveyances are made pursuant to the mutual aid agreements entered into by the Village.
(3) 
Employees located in Village. Employees working for businesses located in the Village and receiving ambulance conveyances when injured in the course of their employment shall pay such amount as established by the Village in its annual budget.

Any person having a vehicle incident on Wisconsin, Village, county, state or federal highways, including Village streets, involving vehicle fire or auto accident involving fluid spilled or extrication of a victim will be charged a fee to recover the Fire Department's cost. The Fire Department Emergency Vehicle Accident Response Fee shall be established by the Village Board of Trustees and may be changed or revised from time to time by resolution.
