An independent auditor, who shall be a certified public accountant registered
in Pennsylvania, a firm of certified public accountants so registered or a
competent public accountant or a competent firm of public accountants, shall
be appointed, annually, for the audit of the accounts of the Borough, the
appointment of that independent auditor and the authority, powers and duties
of that auditor to be in accordance with Sections 1005(7) and 1196 of "The
Borough Code," as amended.[1]
