It shall be unlawful to ride a skateboard, roller skate or roller blade in the Borough of Greencastle, Franklin County, Pennsylvania, on any sidewalk within the Community Commercial (CC) and Highway Commercial (HC) Zoning Districts.
It shall be unlawful to ride a skateboard, roller skate or roller blade at any time upon private property within the Borough of Greencastle, Franklin County, Pennsylvania, without the permission of the property owner.
For purposes of this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
ROLLER SKATE/ROLLER BLADE
A form of skate on which wheels or rollers are mounted for traction either side by side or in line, one behind the other.
SKATEBOARD
A device for riding upon, usually while standing, consisting of an oblong piece of wood, fiberglass, plastic or similar material, mounted on skate wheels.

Any person who shall violate any provision of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay a fine of $50 plus costs of prosecution (court costs and reasonable attorney fees). Provided, however, that any person accused of such violation by notice provided to them by a police officer of the Borough of Greencastle may settle and compromise the claim against him or her for such violation by paying the Borough the sum of $25 within 72 hours of such notice being provided to them.
