The Township hereby adopts as the Official Map of the Township of Lower Makefield all that certain map and the attachments thereto designated as the "Official Map Township of Lower Makefield, Bucks County, Pennsylvania," prepared by Pickering, Corts & Summerson, Inc., Consulting Engineers and Land Surveyors, dated February 2, 1990, as amended March 19, 1990.

Editor's Note: Ordinance No. 308, adopted 4-7-1997, amended the Official Map of the Township of Lower Makefield, "which said amendment shall be to the provisions of the Official Map related to walkway and bicycle paths and lanes within the township. The amendments are noted on a plan of the walkway and bicycle path system of the township prepared by Pickering, Corts & Summerson, Inc., consulting engineers and land surveyors, dated January 22, 1997."
The aforesaid Official Map depicts township property and property rights, both present and proposed, including but not limited to township parks, grounds and open space reservations, township roadways and intersections, both present and proposed, flood control basins, floodways and floodplains, bikeways, including existing and proposed bicycle paths, lanes and routes; and farmland preservation grounds.
The property depicted as proposed township property, including ground proposed for future roadway, intersection, bikeway and other future improvements, shall be reserved for future taking or acquisition for public use in perpetuity until actually acquired by the township.
The township directs that upon adoption of this chapter a copy of the Official Map, verified by the Board of Supervisors, shall be submitted to the Recorder of Deeds of the County of Bucks, to be recorded within 60 days of the effective date hereof.
