[Adopted as Part 1, Title 5, Art. 141, of the 1987 Codified Ordinances]
A. 
All firemen and policemen shall retire from active duty as firemen or policemen of the city when they reach the age of 65 years, which is fixed as the mandatory age of retirement for firemen and policemen of the city.
B. 
This section shall not apply to emergencies as the same are fixed by statute.[1]
