The Mayor, with the advice and consent of Council, may appoint a Treasurer who shall be the Chief Financial Officer and who shall hold office until December 31 in the year of his appointment, provided that he may hold over until his successor is appointed.
The Treasurer shall discharge his duties as Chief Financial Officer of the borough and shall make such reports to the Borough Administrator as may be necessary for the financial operation of the borough.
A. 
The Treasurer may, but need not, serve in the capacity of Tax Collector, and the positions of Tax Collector and Treasurer shall be separate and distinct.
B. 
Compensation for said positions shall be set by ordinance.
C. 
The Treasurer shall be a resident of the Borough.
