This chapter shall be entitled "Recovery for
Municipal Liens."
A.
Any insurance company which has provided fire insurance
on fire loss coverage for real property located within the Borough
of Park Ridge, and that property has been damaged by fire in excess
of $2,500, shall make no payment to the real owner of the property,
or any other person claiming in the interest of the owner of the real
property, until either the following is done:
(1)
All anticipated demolition costs and all taxes and
assessments and all other municipal liens or charges due and payable,
appearing on the official certificate of search, shall have been paid;
or
(2)
All taxes and assessments and all other municipal
liens or charges due and payable, appearing on the official certificate
of search, shall have been paid.
B.
Payment shall be made either by the owner of the real
property or by the insurance company, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 17:36-11.
A true copy of this chapter shall be filed with
the State Commissioner of Insurance of the State of New Jersey.
