There shall be created the position of Code Enforcement Officer in the Borough of Paulsboro.
The Code Enforcement Officer shall be appointed by the governing body.
A. 
It shall be the responsibility of the Code Enforcement Officer to enforce the following enumerated ordinances as set forth in the Code of the Borough of Paulsboro:

Chapter 2, Advertisements and Printed Matter.
(2) 
Chapter 4, Air Guns.
(3) 
Chapter 7, Amusement Devices.
(4) 
Chapter 8, Amusements and Sports.
(5) 
Chapter 9, Animals and Shelters.
(6) 
Chapter 20, Buildings: Moving of.
(7) 
Chapter 21, Burning Regulations.
(8) 
Chapter 30, Dwellings: Unfit.
(9) 
Chapter 32, Fences.
(10) 
Chapter 36, Food Establishments (Board of Health).
(11) 
Chapter 38, Garbage and Rubbish.
(12) 
Chapter 39, Housing Code.
(13) 
Chapter 40, Junk: Motor Vehicles.
(14) 
Chapter 40B, Littering.
(15) 
Chapter 42, Lot Maintenance.
(16) 
Chapter 44, Nuisances.
(17) 
Chapter 46, Peace and Good Order.
(18) 
Chapter 47, Peddlers, Hawkers and Solicitors.
(19) 
Chapter 53, Pool and Billiard Parlors.

B. 
Although the Code Enforcement Officer's primary responsibility shall be enforcing the above-enumerated ordinances, other municipal employees and officials may also enforce said ordinances and the delegation of this enforcement duty to the Code Enforcement Officer shall not preclude others from enforcing said ordinances.
The salary, working hours and schedule of the Code Enforcement Officer shall be fixed by the Mayor and Council.
This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon final passage and publication in accordance with law.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent herewith be and are hereby repealed.
