All trucks having a combined gross weight of vehicle plus load in excess of four tons shall be excluded from all streets within the Borough, except from those streets which form a part of the system of truck routes upon which trucks are permitted to travel and operate, which are as follows, except nothing as contained herein shall allow or otherwise permit overnight parking on all streets and such overnight parking is expressly prohibited:

Editor’s Note: Ordinance No. 12.17, adopted 6-7-2017, provided that, given completion of the construction of the 295 overpass, trucks over four tons need not use Riverview Avenue between Billingsport Road and Mantua Avenue for access to the port, refineries and other associated businesses in the area and said exemption should be repealed.
Nothing in this ordinance shall be construed to prevent such trucks from making deliveries of merchandise or other property along streets from which trucks are excluded, or to exclude trucks used by public utility companies, for construction, installation, operation or maintenance of public utility facilities in the Borough, from any street in the Borough.
