A. 
The Township shall assume the cost of health benefits coverage for retired employees with titles not covered by any collective negotiations agreement who have retired after 25 or more years of service with the Township of Pemberton, and who are in receipt of monthly retirement allowances from the Public Employees Retirement System or the Police and Firemen’s Retirement System. The obligation authorized hereunder shall not be extended to any dependents or spouses of the retired employee, but shall relate solely to the cost of actual or imputed premiums allocable to the retired employee. The benefits provided hereunder shall not be in excess of the benefits provided to current employees covered under current collective negotiations agreements at the time this section is adopted or as may be modified in the future.

B. 
For the purposes of this section, the phrase “after 25 or more years of continuous service with the Township of Pemberton” in Subsection A above shall include 25 or more years of continuous service rendered to the Pemberton Township Municipal Utilities Authority by employees who have retired from the PTMUA prior to the effective date of this section and are receiving monthly retirement allowances from the Public Employees Retirement System, under the same terms and conditions outlined in Subsection A above.
C. 
Provided they do not have a break in service between employers, current employees of the Pemberton Township Municipal Utilities Authority, who accept employment with the Township upon dissolution of the PTMUA, shall receive credit for years of service rendered to the PTMUA under the Township’s program for payment of premiums toward health benefits in retirement, under the same terms and conditions outlined in Subsection A above and/or as per the provisions of an applicable collective negotiations agreement.
