The Pemberton Township Sewage Division of the Department of Public Works shall have control of and supervise the Sewer Department.
All properties having any type of disposal facilities and abutting on streets where sewer mains are laid shall make connection with the sewer system unless such connection shall be physically impracticable.

All domestic and manufacturing plant connections and installations shall be in accordance with the Plumbing Code of the Township of Pemberton[2] and the rules and regulations of the Board of Health concerning same. The discharge of industrial wastes into said sewer system will be allowed when specifically permitted by the Sewage Division of the Department of Public Works. The effluent shall be compatible with the treatment facilities available and shall be tested for chemicals or metals that would be injurious to the proper function of the treatment plant, and where so found, the manufacturer shall install preliminary treatment equipment before being permitted to connect to the sewer system.

The rates charged shall be on the basis of sewage concentrations of 250 parts per million of BOD and 250 parts per million of suspended solids. These shall be minimum rates. Users contributing higher concentrations of sewage shall be charged at proportionally higher rates.
