Parking yards and places — See Ch. 66A.
Every parking area provided for the use of tenants of multifamily dwellings of four families or more shall be lighted between the hours of sunset and sunrise. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to provide tenants of such a multifamily dwelling with an unlighted parking area.
The lighting of a parking area provided for the use of tenants of such multifamily dwelling shall be installed, arranged and maintained in such a manner as to light the entire area without the presence of shadows and to deflect the light from the public highways and residence buildings. The purpose of the foregoing conditions are for the protection of persons using said parking area and to eliminate the glare of lights on the public highways and from residential buildings.
This chapter shall be administered by the Building Inspector; provided, however, that this section shall not be construed to limit or restrict the enforcement of this chapter to the Building Inspector.
Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, pay a fine not exceeding $200 for each violation or be imprisoned in the county jail for a period not exceeding 30 days, or both. Every day that a violation continues shall, for the purposes hereof, be considered a separate violation.
This chapter shall take effect immediately upon publication according to law.
