No person shall, except in the necessary defense of person or property, fire or discharge any shotgun, rifle, firearm, hand gun, gun, or other such weapons within the Township of Bethel with the following exceptions:
A. 
The use of a shotgun by any person or persons engaged in legal hunting and licensed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for that purpose, providing they have property owner's permission for such hunting.
B. 
The use of properly licensed firearms by law enforcement personnel.
C. 
The use of firearms, under adult supervision, on properly maintained ranges. Such ranges must be registered with the Chief of Police and meet safety standards set by the Board of Supervisors.
Any Township policeman or constable is hereby authorized to seize and impound any rifle, firearm, shotgun, hand gun, gun, or other such weapon which is used in violation of the foregoing provisions.

A. 
All recommendations from Gun Range Committee must be adhered to.
B. 
All new applicants for a target range must appear before Zoning Hearing Board for a special variance.
C. 
will be issued to applicant only after meeting all requirements for gun range.
D. 
Hours for gun ranges and target ranges as follows:
(1) 
Monday through Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. to sunset.
(2) 
Sunday, from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m.

Any person who violates or permits a violation of this article shall, upon being found liable therefor in a civil enforcement proceeding commenced by the Township before a Magisterial District Judge, pay the maximum amount authorized by the provisions of 53 P.S. § 66601(c.1), plus all court costs, including reasonable attorney's fees, incurred by the Township in the enforcement of this article.
