The Office of Tax Collector is hereby confirmed.
The Borough Tax Collector shall be appointed pursuant to N.J.S.A.
40A:9-141.
The Borough Tax Collector shall serve a term
of office pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:9-142.
The Borough Tax Collector shall also be the
collector of arrears of taxes pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:9-143.
The Borough Tax Collector shall obtain tenure
pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:9-144 and N.J.S.A. 40A: 9-145.
The Borough Tax Collector shall collect all
monies due to the Borough for payment of real property taxes and assessments,
as required by law, and shall perform those duties as may be assigned
by the Municipal Administrator.
The hours of operation of the Tax Collector's
office shall average 15 hours per week which shall be established
and published by the Borough Administrator and which may be modified
from time to time by him.
The work hours of the Tax Collector shall average
15 hours per week as designated by the Administrator and which may
be modified from time to time by him.
