Borough of Pen Argyl, PA Chapter 2 Election of Councilmen, First and Second Wards

§ 2-1 Councilmen to be elected.

A. There shall be elected from each of the First Ward and the Second Ward of the Borough of Pen Argyl two persons to serve as members of the Council of the Borough of Pen Argyl, with such election to be held at the time of the municipal election of 1987.

B. The members elected as aforementioned shall serve commencing the first Monday of January next succeeding the aforementioned election.

§ 2-2 Designation of terms.

A. The person receiving the highest number of votes for member of Council from each ward at the election aforementioned, shall serve for a term of four years from the first Monday of January 1988.

B. The person receiving the next highest number of votes for member of Council from each ward at the election aforementioned shall serve for a term of two years from the first Monday of January 1988.

§ 2-3 Copy to be filed.

A true and correct copy of this chapter shall be sent to the proper officials of the County of Northampton.
