The City of Scranton declares the need, in the interest of health,
safety, and general welfare of the public, for the extension of the
term of existence of the Authority and, pursuant to the Enabling Act,
does hereby extend said term of existence to 50 years from the date
of enactment of this chapter.
The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed
to publish, in the manner prescribed by the Parking Authority Law,[1] a notice of the enactment of this chapter and of the city's
intention to file a certified copy hereof and of the proofs of such
publication with the Secretary of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
and, thereafter to file such certified copy hereof and such proofs
of publication with the Secretary of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania,
all as provided in the Parking Authority Law.
