[HISTORY: Adopted by the Borough Council of the Borough of Waynesboro 3-25-1970 by Ord. No. 681 (Ch. V, Part 2 of the 1970 Code). Amendments noted where applicable.]
As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated.
BUILDING
Any structure used or intended to be used as a dwelling or place of business or industry, but shall not include any public building or any accessory building located upon a lot where there is also a main building.
The owner of every building in the Borough of Waynesboro is hereby required to affix the correct assigned number of such building to such building or upon a permanent standard, base or support between such building and the street upon which such building fronts. Such number shall conform to the number assigned to such building upon the street numbering plan of the Borough prepared by the Borough Engineer. Every digit of such number shall be at least three inches high, shall be of such color and material as to be visible from the street and shall be constantly maintained in complete and legible form.
Any person or persons, partnership, firm or corporation violating any provision of this chapter, or failing to comply with any provision thereof shall, upon conviction thereof, for each and every such violation or failure to comply, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $10 and costs of prosecution. Provided, each day's violation or failure to comply, after notice thereof by the Borough, shall constitute a separate violation or failure to comply.
