Residents of the Borough of Wanaque, their families and guests, are permitted to utilize the bathing beach known as Wanaque Borough Lions Beach by obtaining tags from the duly authorized agent of the borough at a cost hereafter set forth. Each resident of the Borough of Wanaque, his family and guests, will be compelled to prominently display the tag while using the bathing beach. The number of guests shall be limited to six for any family at any one time.
Guest tags may be obtained at a cost of $0.50 per tag per day, plus a deposit of $0.50 to ensure return of the tags, which will be reimbursed at the time the tag is returned, and which will authorize its user to wear said tag on the day it was issued and only for that day, Seasonal resident tags may be obtained at a cost of $0.50 per resident, which will authorize the user to utilize the bathing beach for the respective season in which said tag was issued.
For each subsequent year thereafter, new tags will be issued for that particular year at a cost to be determined at the beginning of each calendar year by the Mayor and Council, and that determination will be made by resolution.

The responsibility for the maintenance and operation of the aforesaid beach and recreation field attached thereto will devolve upon the Recreation Committee appointed by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Wanaque. The Recreation Committee shall determine when the swimming season shall begin and end, and this determination will be made with the consent of the Mayor and Council. The Recreation Committee shall determine, with the consent of the Mayor and Council, the hours that the beach shall be officially open.
The Mayor and Council of the Borough of Wanaque will have displayed prominently, on the beach mentioned herein, signs with the following information: "This is a private beach to be used only by residents of the Borough of Wanaque, their families and guests. This beach will remain open from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m."
It will not be necessary for any child 12 years old or under, accompanied by residents of the borough or guests, to purchase or display a tag as heretofore set forth.
A. 
It is specifically prohibited to park motor vehicles and other vehicles of all types on the beach or athletic field, except in designated areas for that purpose within the confines of the aforementioned borough beach.
B. 
All dogs and other animals are prohibited from accompanying any person to the beach and athletic field.
C. 
Gambling of all types is absolutely prohibited. The riding of bicycles and any other human propelled vehicles on the beach, athletic field and confines is prohibited.
D. 
No rough and tumble tactics will be permitted.
E. 
Throwing of bottles and other refuse on the beach, athletic field and/or the confines of the aforementioned will be strictly prohibited.
F. 
No boating will be permitted in the swimming area except for use and utilization by the duly authorized lifeguards assigned thereto.
The right to sell refreshments and food shall be controlled by the Mayor and Council as it sees fit to so do, and it may be accomplished by resolution.
Those found guilty of violating § 58-7 of this chapter will be subject to a fine not to exceed $500 or imprisonment for a term not to exceed 90 days, or both.
