The following offices are hereby created and established in East Brandywine Township:
A. 
Zoning Officer/Codes Official.[1]

B. 
Engineer.
The Supervisors may, from time to time, by motion and in accordance with law, appoint persons of suitable training and background to fill said offices. The Engineer shall be a registered professional engineer in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
It shall be the duty of the Zoning Officer/Codes Official and Engineer, respectively, in addition to other duties imposed by law, to administer and enforce all laws, regulations, and ordinances pertaining to building, subdivision, land development, zoning, land planning, related construction, and the like in East Brandywine Township, including but not limited to the Building Regulations for the Protection of Fire and Panic, 1968 Edition (as adopted by the Department of Labor and Industry pursuant to the authority of the Fire and Panic Act of April 27, 1927, P.L. 465, as amended[2]); Chapter 399, Zoning, of the Land Use Code of the Township of East Brandywine, as amended; and Chapter 350, Subdivision and Land Development, of the Land Use Code of the Township of East Brandywine, as amended.
