A.Â
This section is adopted pursuant to the Borough Code
of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Act No. 581 of February 1, 1966,
its supplements and amendments thereto.
B.Â
The office of independent auditor is hereby created
for the Borough of Lewisburg and commencing with the fiscal year 1966,
such independent auditor shall make an examination of the accounting
records of the Borough of Lewisburg and perform the other duties and
exercise the powers as conferred upon him by Subdivision K of Article
XI of the Borough Code Act No. 581 of February 1, 1966, its supplements
and amendments.
C.Â
A certified public accountant, registered in Pennsylvania,
a firm of certified public accountants so registered, or a competent
public accountant, or a competent firm of public accountants, shall
be appointed, annually, by resolution before the close of the fiscal
year 1966 and before the close of each succeeding fiscal year to perform
the duties of independence auditor, as prescribed herein.
