It shall be unlawful for any person to abandon any domestic animal in the Borough of Lewisburg.
As used in the article, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
ABANDON
A temporary abandonment as well as a permanent abandonment of such animal.
DOMESTIC ANIMAL
A dog, cat, or any animal regularly raised, kept or maintained on a farm, such as, but not limited to, a goat, cow, horse, pig, sheep, and chicken.

Any person, firm or corporation who shall violate any provision of this article shall, upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $300, and/or to imprisonment for a term not to exceed 90 days.
