Editor's Note: This local law was passed at referendum held 3-20-1990. It was also originally adopted as Ch. 30 of the Code, but was redesignated as Ch. 41 to maintain the alphabetical sequence of the Code.
This chapter shall be known and cited as the "Bingo Licensing Law of the Village of Clayton."
As used in this chapter, all words shall have the same meanings as those defined in § 476 of the General Municipal Law, § 432 of the Executive Law and Title 9 of the New York Code of Rules and Regulations, Section 5800.1.
Authorized organizations may, upon obtaining a license from the Village Clerk, conduct bingo within the Village of Clayton as provided in Article 14-H of the General Municipal Law, Article 19-B of the Executive Law, the Rules and Regulations of the New York State Racing and Wagering Board and as provided in this chapter.
The conduct of bingo shall be subject to the restrictions imposed by § 479 of the General Municipal Law and the Rules and Regulations of the New York State Racing and Wagering Board.
Bingo licenses may provide for the conducting of bingo on Sundays.
The Board of Trustees hereby delegates to the Village Clerk the Board of Trustees' authority granted to it by Article 14-H of the General Municipal Law in relation to the issuance, amendment and cancellation of licenses, the conduct of investigations and hearings and the supervision of the operation of games and the collection and transmission of fees.
