All well drillers who wish to operate within
the Township of Toms River must first register with the Toms River
Township Board of Health.
The purpose of this article is to aid the Board
of Health in determining who is operating within the Township so that
the health, safety and welfare of the residents of the Township of
Toms River may be protected.
The penalties for violation of § 589-1 of this article shall be a fine of not more than $500 and/or imprisonment in the County jail for a term not exceeding 30 days. Each day that a violation is permitted to exist shall be deemed a separate and distinct offense.
