§ 9-1 Title.

This chapter shall be entitled a "Local Law Relating to the Appointment of Certain Officers and Employees of the Town of Ellicott."

§ 9-2 Purpose.

It is the purpose of this chapter to ensure that the Town of Ellicott is able to hire qualified and, where necessary, state certified employees and to supersede § 3 of the Public Officers Law of the State of New York.

§ 9-3 Provisions relating to Town Building Inspector.

The person or persons holding the office or offices of Town of Ellicott Building Inspector, Town of Ellicott Zoning Enforcement Officer (as provided for in Chapter 73 of the Code of the Town of Ellicott) and Director (as provided for in Chapter 118 of the Code of the Town of Ellicott) need not be a resident of the Town of Ellicott.

§ 9-4 Deputy Town Clerk residency.

The person or persons holding the office or offices of Deputy Town Clerk need not be a resident of the Town of Ellicott.
